Alta Ruta Bike offers two time slots each day, 9a-11:30p, and 3:30-6p, for a maximum of 6 riders. Book in advance and try to arrive 15 minutes early.

Meet at Gold Hill Trail Head located at the intersection of Gateway Drive and CO-9. Approximately 4 miles from downtown Breckenridge, or 5 miles from downtown Frisco.

With plenty of storage on each e-bike for personal items, we recommend bringing a rain jacket, mid-layer, sunscreen, snacks and water bottle. The Revelate water bottle holster can accommodate any size container, including a full thermos or Nalgene bottle. There will be additional room for extra items such as cameras.

Leveraging the full capability of e-mountain bikes with the world-class terrain of Summit County, each adventure will feature one of several exciting loops. The average distance will be 20-30 miles (very manageable on e-bikes) highlighting a combination of smooth bike paths, gravel roads, panoramic mountain passes, and fun (yet safe) descents. Every rider has the option to switch between Boost, Trail and Eco mode on their e-bike for the full duration of the adventure without any concern of running low on charge. Boost mode offers an effortless thrill on flats with a confident push up the steepest of ascents. Trail and Eco are equally fun modes while still offering an excellent bike workout.

Our currently bike selection features the Santa Cruz Heckler e-mountain bike. The bike is very well balanced, extremely durable, and offers excellent power up ascents. We have modified the saddle with a Brooks, natural rubber, saddle for added flex and miles upon miles of comfort.

We provide Bern Hudson helmets for all riders. This helmet has been purpose tested for e-bikes, with an NTA 8776 e-bike certification and a 5 S.T.A.R. ranking from Virginia Tech.

Loose rocks on forest roads are the only technical part of the tour and can be easily managed by slowing down. There are steep ascents and descents, but these can also be easily managed (and enjoyed) by slowing down and using the power (or brakes) of the bike. Other parts of the ride will stay on bike paths or low-traffic roads. We will never be far from a town center, or inaccessible by car. Your guide will be first aid certified and carry a satellite phone at all times.
